Day 5 of Merry Motivation

Clear some space. Find an area in your home that can be cleared and preserved just for you. Someplace that makes you feel fuzzy and warm in side for the winter. My area of choice is in front of our fire place, but since my mother in law will be joining us shortly, I am about to create a whole new space in my bedroom. I don't think she would appreciate a view of downward dog while trying to watch television. I don't think I'd have any luck being left alone in such a common space anyhow these days. Do this with me. Get creative. Make it feel good.

For example, I'd like to get a fluffy rug, make a nice spot for my yoga mat and even add a chair (NO NOT TO HANG MY CLOTHES ON) but to read or just escape to a bit of peace and quiet. OK, I'm dreaming. A chair won't fit. That' s ok, my matt will. Make it a date with yourself a few nights a week. Rather than wine and an old episode of friends, how about a short candle lit stretch, calm yoga sesh or even a few deep squats followed by a few minutes of motivational reading and a cup of tea. We all know that stress is a contributing cause to so many mystery illnesses today. Hit your stress straight on with some tranquility. So tell me, what is in your vision? Try Pinterest for some inspiration. I'll give you some time to prepare and you can look forward to a short session that you will be able to use in your newly zen space.
