Looking for a healthy showstopper to bring to the party?  Try this Romanesco Cauliflower that resembles an evergreen.  

 

 

 

 

 

You can steam it all in one piece or you can break it up to look like little individual trees.  Get creative and have a little fun with your dish.  It is delicious, with just a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle of salt and pepper. If you need a little more inspiration simply type in Romanesco on Pinterest for abundant recipe choices. The flavor is slightly more mild than traditional cauliflower which makes it the perfect vegetable for the crowd.  Romanesco is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, dietary fiber and carotenoids.  I know by now you are already tired of the rich foods you have been surrounded with.  Break the mold and though most people are expecting indulgent foods simply because it is the holiday season, deep down there will be others there letting out a sigh of releif and sparkle of excitement over your dish.
